The Residence
The Residence at Steamboat Bay is a stand-alone manor-style guesthouse just down the shore from The Lodge. Up to eight guests can enjoy an exclusive Steamboat Bay experience at The Residence, or groups of up to 24 may command the entire resort. A resort within a resort, The Residence has its own dedicated crew, fleet, dining options, and amenities.
In keeping with the artisan handcrafted styling reflected throughout Steamboat Bay, The Residence is constructed from Sitka spruce, cedar, and other local timbers, and displays the work of Alaska Native artists. The Residence is sited over a natural stream that feeds into the bay, and the overwater dining room features a transparent floor that offers incomparable views during the salmon run.
The Residence offers six oceanfront suites and two forest-view suites, all single occupancy.

Dedicated Fishing Boats and Guides
Guests at The Residence are provided with U.S. Coast Guard licensed fishing guides and custom-built heated cabin cruisers from the Steamboat Bay fleet. All fishing gear is provided for the duration of each guest's stay.
Great Room
The setting for guest check-in, The Residence features an inviting Great Room with a wood-burning fireplace and a stately hearth built of Noyes Island river rock. Cozy living areas appointed with Alaska-style furnishings embrace serene views of the bay, and a covered deck and stairway lead outdoors to the private beach.
Dining Room
A dedicated chef and crew serve Residence guests, who enjoy breakfast, an exclusive appetizer hour, and family-style dinner in the overwater dining.
Bayside Deck
Looking out over Steamboat Bay, the covered deck at The Residence offers a tranquil setting after a day on the water. A wide stairway leads over the mouth of the salmon stream that courses to the beach and beyond.
Club Room
The upstairs Club Room is the gathering spot for a cigar and a game of eight ball. It sets the scene for relaxation with a pool table, game tables, satellite TV, a movie library, and a well-stocked wet bar.
Hot Tub
After a day reeling in the fish, guests can unwind with a soothing soak in The Residence’s deckside hot tub.
