Club Life
Day 1 | Travel to Ketchikan, Alaska
The Steamboat Bay ground crew at Ketchikan International Airport welcomes arriving guests, collects their luggage, and transports them to their hotels via private coach. Guests with an early arrival to Ketchikan may enjoy an air, land, or walking tour of this historic port town, known as the “Salmon Capital of the World.”
Day 2 | Travel to Steamboat Bay, Noyes Island
At 5:15 a.m., the ground crew meets guests at their hotels for transfer to the sea-plane dock in Ketchikan. From there, guests board a floatplane for the scenic 40-minute flightseeing trip to Craig, Prince of Wales, en route viewing Alaska’s famed Inside Passage and the majestic Tongass National Forest. Guests continue by
boat to a secluded bay on Noyes Island where Steamboat Bay Fishing Club is located.
Guests are advised to pack only essentials for fishing (layered clothing, camera, prescriptions) in their carry-on bags. Upon arrival at Steamboat Bay, all other luggage is valeted directly to guest rooms.
Check-in at the Club takes place in the Lodge or Residence Great Room, where guests receive their room and boat assignments, Alaska fishing licenses, and King Salmon Stamps. They then either go straight to their boats and the fishing grounds, or enjoy a full breakfast before heading out. At the dock, heated cabin cruisers and U.S. Coast Guard licensed fishing guides await. Lunch and drinks are served on board during the day. Guests may also choose to return to the Club to dine.

All cabin cruisers return from fishing by 4:30 p.m. Guides will discuss and secure guest choice on fish trimming. Steamboat Bay’s seafood-processing crew professionally processes each guest’s catch according to preference.
